The Precious Collection by Hollish Polish

The Hollish Winter 2014 collection features 10 full coverage micro glitter polishes in metallic and jewel tones. The 5 polishes that I have are the jewel tone polishes and it includes colourful micro glitters in a clear base. These polishes will be available from the 31/5 from the Hollish Etsy store. They dry slightly matte and textured but are super sparkly! A top coat easily smooths out the glitter and really enhances the amount of sparkle. As much as I am dedicated to my top coat, I actually prefer these without a top coat. All of these polishes had the same formula. When I first saw the formula of these polishes I was skeptical that I would get full coverage in a reasonable number of coats. I was happily proven wrong.  For each swatch I used three thin coats, and waited for it to dry in between each coat. For each polish  I have two photos, first is without a top coat, the other is with a glossy top coat. Both photos are taken in direct sunlight.

Love Thy Polish Untried

Yep, that's right... More untried polishes. I am so happy with how many untried polishes I am getting through this month. Many of these untried polishes I have had sitting around for a very long time.

Both of these polishes from Love Thy Polish I have picked up from blog sales (love my blog sales).

"Peppermint Patty" - This one is so creamy! A soft mint base with dark and light minty green glitters. For my swatch I used three thin coats plus a glossy top coat to smooth it all out.

"Royalty" - This one is a deep purple jelly with fine purple glitter. This one looks so much more amazing on compared to in the bottle. It has heaps of depth and easy coverage. For my swatch I used three thin coats plus a glossy top coat.

Untried Halloween Polishes by Glam Polish

More swatches! The two polishes that I have tonight were part of the 2013 Halloween Trio by Glam Polish.

I had intended to swatch these polishes for my Halloween in April idea, but I ran out of time. Good thing they also fit into Untried May!

"Graveyard Smash!" - An amazing combination of purple, red, and green glitters of different shapes and sizes in a clear base. I dabbed one coat over "I Saw... U Saw... We Saw... Warsaw!" by O.P.I.. I love how this looks!

"Blood & Bones!" - A creepy combination of black, white, and red glitters of different shapes and sizes, including skull glitter! I dabbed one coat over "Don't Pretzel My Buttons" by O.P.I.. I was super excited to see that the white glitter glows under a black light!!

Party Girl Lacquer Swatches and Nail Art - Part 2

I finally have part 2 of my swatches from Party Girl Lacquer. I gave up waiting for the sun to come out to swatch these polishes but I hope I still do them justice.

"I Wanna Flair" - A silver holographic glitter topper. Usually I would swatch something like this over black, but I chose to swatch this polish over a blue ombre to show off the versatility. For my base colours I used (L-R) "I Saw... U Saw... We Saw... Warsaw" by O.P.I., "Blue Marlin" by Ulta3, "No Room For The Blues" by O.P.I., and "Baby's Got The Blues" by Miss Ashleigh. I layered one thin coat of "I Wanna Flair" over each colour and added a glossy top coat.

"Magic Fruit Punch"- This is such an amazing polish! It  has a rainbow of small, colourful glitters in a silver holographic base. For my base I used "Cool Grey" by Sinful Color topped with "I Wanna Flair" then dabbed one coat of "Magic Fruit Punch" over the top.

I added some single chevron stripes over the top in black. I like the contrast between the colourful glitters and sparkle of "Magic Fruit Punch" and the sharp black.

I liked the contrast with the black chevron so I decided to try layering "Magic Fruit Punch" over black. I dabbed two coats over black with a glossy top coat. Unfortunately, the little bit of sun that I did get hid behind some clouds by the time I had finished this and went outside to take photos.

PrettyPots - Scattered Holographic Polishes

PrettyPots Polish has just added five new scattered holographic polishes to their core line, all named after deserts! I love, love, love holographic polishes at the moment so I was very excited to be able to swatch these polishes. All of these polishes have a fantastic formula and are very smooth to apply.

"Orange Chiffon" - This one is deep burnt orange. I quite like the deep burnt orange colour for a change, I don't have anything like it.  For my swatch I used two thin coats plus a glossy top coat.

"Lemon Sugar Pancakes" - This one is a zesty lemon shade with lime undertones. This one was slightly thinner than the others, so for this swatch I used three thin coats plus a glossy top coat.

"Green Velet Cupcake" - This is one is a beautiful green/teal colour with blueish undertones. I think this one also had the best holographic sparkle! For my swatch I used two thin coats plus a glossy top coat.

Glam Polish - Exotic Illusions Part 2

Tonight I have 3 new polishes that make up part 2 from the Exotic Illusions Series by Glam Polish. If you missed my post of last months trio, or would like to see it again you can see it HERE. This months trio features some colourful shades with a dark side. These colours also have a slight colour shift depending on the lighting. The colour shift in these polsihes are hard to capture and changes at every angle. My personal favourite feature of these polishes is the sprinkling of holographic glitter creating a dynamic rainbow of colour. Each of these polishes has a very smooth formula and applies like a dream. For each of my swatches I used three thin coats plus a glossy top coat. This months trio is now available for pre-order from Glam Polish with shipping to Australia and America.

"Witching Hour" - A deep purple with a blue shimmer creating an awesome blurple tone with a pinkish colour shift.
